Is it possible to create test network with different versions of cordapp?

Hi everyone.

Backward compatibility is one of the most common issue we have during development. The test network setup we are currently using always use the current version of the app, we have to wait until we publish and deploy the app to our dev environment and check backward compatible when transacting with nodes in older version.

My question is, can we test and detect the problem earlier and easier? Can we setup a test network for the flow test that consists of nodes in different version of our app?
